Once upon a time, there
were stables
These stables were built in the 1980s by the previous owners for their horses. They are an example of robustness despite the harsh climatic conditions that affected many local buildings.
In 2020, we acquired a building in very good condition… but in its “raw state”, where everything had to be done! From the installation of the networks (electricity, water) to the definition of the spaces, from the wiring and pipes in all directions to the lengthy finishing touches, explore our blog to follow the epic stages of this renovation.
Since 2019, the cottage has been proudly listed in the “Refuges LPO” program. In January 2024, the Refuge des Vaures made a further commitment and signed a partnership agreement with the LPO for 3 years (2024-2027).

The lodge
The Refuge des Vaures immerses you in the heart of nature, guaranteeing an exceptional experience of relaxation and change of scenery. On the front terrace of the cottage, enjoy the spectacle of deer roaming in the nearby woods, listen to the melodies of birds at dusk, and watch the tall grasses undulate in the meadows.
Our cottage has been renovated with the primary aim of providing you with all the comforts you need for a relaxing family vacation or a successful vacation with friends.
Each member of the family will find his or her own space in the well-appointed rooms, which are fully equipped for all ages.

Our cottage is located 3km from the center of Vichy, at the address 30 chemin des Vaures 03700 Bellerive-sur-Allier.
Whichever way you choose, it is easily accessible, making your journey to the cottage simple and enjoyable.

From Paris or Clermont-Ferrand – freeway A71 then A719 – exit Vichy N12.
From Partis / alternative – free freeway A77 then N7 (via Moulins) – N209 follow Charmeil -D6 follow Bellerive-sur-Allier.
From Clermont-Ferrand / alternatively – D2009 via Riom/Aigueperse then D984 or A71 then D210 via
Randan then D1093.
GPS, indicate “Les Vaures” at Bellerive sur Allier.
Vichy train station. From Paris, trips depart from Paris Bercy station, cab rank south of the station (parking gare routière), bus stops in front of the station.
The nearest airport is Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne (CFE).
Vichy bus station. Most national lines offer journeys to Clermont-Ferrand, then use the TER to get to Vichy.
