How do you define your career plan when you’ve got a vague idea in the back of your mind? Great question ^^ except that… when you’ve set foot in the process of creating. a business, you need to quickly find answers and bring that vague idea to life! September 2019.
I wasn’t starting from scratch, I knew that: I didn’t want any more salaried employment, I wanted to be in close contact with my customers, to have an activity that would bring life to my region, or at least be closely linked to it. January 2020.
The big advantage of the “parcours de créateurs” is the framework and logic of the course, which quickly leads you to define your project. I had three, on different time scales, that met my criteria, were complementary and aligned with the way I saw and wanted my life to be. Here comes the “but”. Being a project owner also means working for months on end, validating your project but then facing the impossibility of bringing your idea to fruition. Spring-Autumn 2020 Difficult to live through? yes… You also learn to turn to experienced people, to listen despite the strong desire to hibernate for a few months! To hear and understand that there isn’t just one way to bring an idea to fruition, that one project can lead to another, in another form. Spring 2021.
Over the course of my solo work and the support I’ve received, I’ve experimented with endurance, frustration, perseverance and isolation. I’ve learned how to manage my discouragement as well as the phases of excitement, how to assert myself as an entrepreneur (the famous imposter syndrome, that’s one of them!), and I’ve discovered the extent of my ignorance of the digital world (!). I let myself be guided by those in the know to get back to the essence of my project, because let’s face it, as the months go by with my head in the handlebars, yes, we sometimes lose track of what we wanted to achieve. Spring 2023
